Founder’s Message
After years of hearing about men in the Thurston county area struggling to find housing, I decided to do something. I wanted to provide a safe and affordable housing network that caters to the homeless and those in recovery. I found that it was possible to change and find a new way to live. It has been my mission and my desire to carry that message to the still suffering addict and alcoholic for as long as I live. Our Facility
Living Clean and Inspired is a great way to transition from an inpatient treatment, jail, prison, or other back to the ‘real world’ while gaining valuable tools to combat their addiction. We have guidelines in place to teach responsibility.
About the Program
Living Clean housing has four components:
- The primary purpose of the program is to help men set goals in areas of education, training, job preparation or job search, and independence. The program also allows men to focus on personal issues.
- Living Clean housing is a living situation with a supportive positive community of other men with common experiences. There is a community atmosphere with mutual support and social contact. There are a variety of 12-Step meetings, Celebrate Recovery (CR), educational and other support groups available in the Lacey/Olympia/Tumwater area.
- Practicing mindfulness helps men achieve a sense of balance, learn how they can regulate their emotions and thoughts. Mindfulness is used to connect men to their feelings and how to use them as a stepping-stone toward changing their life.
- We believe in writing a personal mission statement because it helps build self-efficacy while helping them unearth and identify what’s truly important to them.
Mission
To strengthen the Thurston County community by providing affordable, positive housing for men transitioning from addiction to recovery, to independent living. Residents establish and develop essential practices to grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Allowing them to build their self-confidence and sense of purpose, as well as continue their recovery journey while practicing relapse prevention techniques in a safe, structured environment.
Vision
The Living Clean house is a sober living residence offering a drug-free environment for men who have a desire to live better and create a design for living that works.

Our Goal
The goal of the Living Clean house is to provide a communal living environment that promotes the health, well-being, safety, and sobriety of the residents. We believe that a structured environment with rules and regulations, clearly defined, provides positive a supportive space to build positive relationships and confidence.
